Visio setup cannot find Visio.en-us\VisioLR.cab

When I attempt to install Visio 32bit on a laptop running 32bit Windows 7 I get the following error message when installation begins copying files.

"Setup cannot find Visio.en-us\VisioLR.cab. Browse to a valid installation source, and then click ok."

I am attempting to install from the CD. When I try to browse to the VisioLR.cab file on the CD, during the installation the file does not show up.

Any help I can get is appreciated.

It's on both of my images (x86 and x64). Since that directory is for the US english version, what language is the disk for and where did you get it? The download version from MS is an EXE and not a disk image.

The disk language is in English, and it was downloaded from Microsoft then burned to CD.

Thanks

on my system when the exe is executed it unpacks to the user directory (appdata/local/temp) so you might check the directory to see what is on the image.

Copy the installation file from the CD to a folder on your hard drive, then install from that.

I still had this issue when running setup.exe for Visio 2010 after copying to disk, but the issue did not appear when I ran x64\setup.exe. I did not test x86\setup.exe.

I'm facing this issue. I can see the file there when I browse it. It does not work when I open from x86\setup.exe or 64\Setup.exe.

I also copied to the hard disk but the same thing happens
